How billing works.
Is the free tier really free?
Yes — free for life, no credit card required. Eight tracked stocks with live grades and one AI report a month cost you nothing, ever. We only ask for a card if you choose to upgrade.
When am I charged? (paid tier)
Only if you've added a card. At the end of each monthly billing cycle, we tally your report generation, Claude usage, and storage. One charge to the card on file. You can monitor running usage from your account dashboard.
Are there minimums or base fees?
No. If you don't generate any reports or store any data in a given month, you aren't charged that month. Pay only for what you use.
Do I see costs before I commit?
Yes. Report cost is shown on the generate screen. Claude cost is shown before every query. No surprises.
How are alerts billed?
Every alert starts off; you turn on the ones you want. Grade-change, macro and weekly-digest emails are free for every account. Paid alerts are opt-in, priced per message (email $0.004, text $0.06 per segment), and added to your monthly invoice. You choose a monthly cap — $5 by default — and paid alerts pause when it is reached. Every message and its price is listed in your delivery history.
How do I cancel?
One click from your account settings. Your data stays accessible until the end of the current billing cycle.
